Meloetta in Pokemon Go is a new mythical Pokemon that was released during Pokemon Go Fest 2021. This event provided the viewers who got the tickets with a new Pokemon and added a new Special Research Story. It allows you to get the new Pokemon when you complete it. Getting someone new into your collection is always interesting and today we will help you to do it. This guide will tell you how to get Meloetta in Pokemon Go and will answer the questions can it be shiny.

How to Get Meloetta in Pokemon Go

Currently, Meloetta in Pokemon Go is available only via Special Research story. It is called Finding Your Voice and consists of six steps. After you complete all of them, you will be able to get Meloetta into your collection in Pokemon Go.

The first task will ask you to take a snapshot of your buddy (1,000 XP), catch 30 normal-type Pokemon (Glameow), and evolve 15 Pokemon (30 Pokeballs). The final reward will consist of 1,000 XP, 1,000 Stardust, and an Eevee encounter.

The second task will ask you to use 30 berries to help catch Pokemon (20 Pinap Berries), earn 5 candy walking with your buddy (1 Poffin), and give your buddy 3 treats (Chansey encounter). The final reward will consist of 1,000 XP, 1,000 Stardust, and a Slugma encounter.

The third task will ask you to win 3 gym battles (Monferno encounter), battle in 3 raids (3 Max Potions), and defeat 3 Team Go Rocket grunts (2 Premium Raid Passes). The final reward will consist of 1,000 XP, 1,000 Stardust, and a Hariyama encounter.

After the fourth task, you will be able to obtain Meloetta. This task will ask you to earn 20,000 Stardust (Chimecho encounter), catch 30 different species of Pokemon (Loudred encounter), and spin 3 PokeStops (Kricketune encounter). The final reward will consist of 2,000 XP, 2,000 Stardust, and a Meloetta encounter.

Shiny Meloetta in Pokemon Go

Currently, there is no possibility to get Shiny Meloetta in Pokemon Go. The developers usually don’t add shiny versions of mythic Pokemon instantly. However, we know that the Shiny Meloetta skin exists. So, maybe one day they will add it into the game. Until this moment, we can only wait. Good luck with your adventures.
