Pokemon Go Furfrou Guide: How to Catch One and Change Between Trims

Pokemon Go’s Fashion Week event has just introduced Furfrou, a normal type poodle Pokemon with several forms based on different trims for its fur. During the event, taking a picture of your buddy will get you photobombed by Furfrou, resulting in an easy spawn of it right next to you on the map.

Additionally, Furfrou’s natural spawns are heavily boosted for the Fashion Week event and you can even find it in 1☆ raids. You can also get Furfrous with a 10/10/10 IV floor from event research tasks.

There’s no indication that it will stop spawning after Fashion Week, either, though it will likely appear much less commonly.

Getting all of Furfrou’s trims is a little less straightforward than simply catching it. Changing its form takes 10,000 stardust and 25 of its species-specific candy, but most importantly, almost all of the forms are geolocked in some capacity.

Here’s a list of different trims and where you can change them:

• Dandy Trim: Always available
• Matron Trim: Always available
• Debutante Trim: Available in North and South America
• Diamond Trim: Available in Europe, Southwest Asia and Africa
• Star Trim: Available in the Asia-Pacific region
• La Reine Trim: Available in France
• Kabuki Trim: Available in Japan
• Pharaoh Trim: Available in Egypt

Additionally, Furfrou has a heart trim that is not yet available anywhere. Keep in mind that changing trims requires you to physically be in the listed locations and that you won’t naturally catch a Furfrou with a Kabuki Trim, for instance, in Japan. This means that using remote raids to access different trims isn’t an option.
