Pokemon Go Bulbasaur Community Day: Duration, Shiny Variant, Bonuses, More

With the release of Season of Heritage, Niantic has announced a new kind of Community Day event called Community Day classic. The Classic: Back to Bulbasaur is the first iteration of this new event series and players will be seeing a couple of them in the coming months.

As it’s pretty clear from the name, Bulbasaur is going to be the featured Pokemon in the upcoming community day event where this specific creature will appear more than usual. If you are also excited about this event, we’ve got the complete details of Bulbasaur Community Day.

Bulbasaur Community Day – Start Date & Time

The Bulbasaur Community Day event in Pokemon Go will commence on January 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

As mentioned earlier, players can enjoy the usual three-hour lure and triple catch experience for capturing any Pokémon.

Will Shiny Bulbasaur appear during the event?

Yes, Niantic has confirmed that players will also encounter a Shiny Bulbasaur during the Bulbasaur Community Day.

Normally, the odds behind the appearance of any Shiny Pokemon is approximately 1 in 500. However, during this community day event, Shiny Bulbasaur might appear 1 in 25 times as per The Silph Road report.

So Trainers should definitely roam around a couple of hours if they always wanted to include a Shiny variant of Bulbasaur to their Pokemon collection.

Event Bonuses

Trainers can avail of the following in-game bonuses that will be activated during the Bulbasaur Community Day event: 

• 3× Catch XP
• Incense activated during the event will last for three hours
• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
• Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
