Plants vs. Zombies 3 Is In Development; Closed Alpha Available On Android

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

It’s been quite some time since the release of Plants vs. Zombies 2, and it seems like EA and Popcap are really working on a new entry in the series.

A few hours ago, a closed alpha for Plants vs. Zombies 3 has surfaced on the Google Play Store. Spots in the closed alpha are limited, so make sure to download the app as soon as possible to see if you can get in.

Unfortunately, very little is currently known about Plants vs. Zombies 3. The closed alpha is meant to collect feedback for combat, so every other feature planned for the current is unavailable.

Help PopCap™ make your zombie-battling experience even better! In this plant-tastic Pre-Alpha, you should anticipate experiencing bugs (zombies don’t bathe very often) and other issues. But, don’t soil your plants just yet! Plants vs. Zombies™3 is under early construction and is not representative of the final game. Pre-Alpha is focused on getting your feedback on combat features only. We’re saving a lot more for later!

Plants vs. Zombies 3 is currently in development for iOS and Android. A release date has yet to be announced.
