Pikmin Bloom: What do Huge Seedlings Sprout Into?

Pikmin Bloom from Niantic encourages gamers to walk around in order to grow their seedlings and find items to use in-game. Using augmented reality, much like Pokemon Go, players grow Pikmin by walking certain distances.

There are 7 types of Pikmin to discover and nurture, each ready to unlock depending on the player’s level. The Pikmin start as seedlings that are placed into the Planter Pack and taken on a journey of around 1,000 steps in order to grow. One of the more rare Pikmin seedlings is the Huge Seedling. How to Find a Huge Seedling

Huge Seedlings can be found in two ways—leveling up or on an expedition. They can only be unlocked when a player has reached level 10, and they take 10,000 steps to grow. An expedition, unlocked at player level 6, is when a Pikmin is sent on an adventure to find fruit or seedlings. Expeditions can be selected through the menu, and then the Pikmin go off on their own to find the item and then walk back. This takes time, of course, but it is worth the wait if you manage to discover a Huge Seedling!

What Does a Huge Seedling Sprout Into?

A Huge Seedling can be placed into the Planter Pack and grown just like any other seedling. It takes 10,000 steps to grow. When it is ready, an animation begins where the newly-grown Pikmin jumps into a gift box and comes out as a Decor Pikmin. These Decor Pikmins are extra cute Pikmin that wear costumes. The costume type depends on where the Pikmin was discovered. If the Huge Seedling was found in a movie theatre, for example, the Decor Pikmin will be wearing a popcorn costume, while a Decor Pikmin grown from a Huge Seedling found in a forest will look like an acorn! There are 22 different types of Decor Pikmin costumes.
