Last month we have reported that the unique Octodad: Dadliest Catch, released on PlayStation consoles and PC a while back, was going to be released sometime during October on the App Store in all regions. Today we have finally learned precisely when the game will be released on the App Store as well as some other new details.
Octodad: Dadliest Catch will be released on the App Store on October 29th. The game will require at least an iPhone 4S or iPad 2 to run. The team has also confirmed that the game is also currently in development for Apple TV.
Octodad: Dadliest Catch stars titular Octodad as he tries to complete increasingly complex challenges while trying to hide the rather obvious fact that he isn’t a human. By controlling each tentacle, players will have to keep human appearances as well pick up and throw items and much more. Making things more difficult is the fact that most challenges also involve other characters, which requires keeping an human appearance very important. This also leads to some hilarious situations that make the game even more charming.
