As many old school gamers surely feel, the free to play model comes with so many limitations that most of these gamers can’t manage to find such games fun. Having to wait or pay real money to be able to continue playing is something that can be hard to stomach.

Complaining about this feature does seem to work, sometimes. The latest update for Where’s My Water? 2 is actually going to remove the energy system from the game.

Before the update, players has to wait or use real money to replenish their energy meter, just like in many other free to play games. With version 1.1.0, this restriction is no longer in place.

“We took your feedback to heart and removed the energy system in this update. Yep that’s right. Now play as often and as much as you like! For those who purchased the expanded energy meter, you will receive 2 Monster Bundles for free!”

If you have been interested in this game but have been put off by its mechanics, you may finally be able to try out the game and play it as much as you want. And maybe even more games will follow Disney’s decision. Highly unlikely, to be honest, but hoping won’t hurt, won’t it?

Where’s my Water? 2 is now available for download on the App Store.
