1. Pick players with the higher numbers!
As a general rule, you can tell the overall power of a player card by looking for the number at the top right corner of the card. The higher number this is, the better the player will perform. This doesn’t take into consideration training and gear though, so be sure to check your cards thoroughly!
2. Be sure to have your star players trained up in the queue!
You can train your players to increase their base stats, which increases their power. When you first start out, you only have one training slot, but as you level up you’ll unlock more. You should always have players training to power them up!
3. Equip skills to improve your odds!
At level 8 you gain access to player skills. These skills will give passive bonuses to assigned players on your team. You can upgrade these skills as well to make them better. Check back often to see if you unlock any skills and be sure to assign them to your players!
4. Rank up and evolve your cards for massive power boosts!
As you level up further, you unlock the ability to rank up your player cards and even evolve them. Ranking up costs a hefty amount of gold and some rare materials, but it’s very much worth it. Each card has a maximum amount of ranks it can go up, but you can increase this amount of by evolving the card, allowing you power the player up even further!
5. Deck your players out with gear!
Each one of your players has 6 slots for equipment. You get gear randomly from doing Legendary Matches, so always check to see if you get new gear. If you see a green highlighted equipment slot on your player screen, that means you have new gear for that slot!
6. Set coaching and strategies!
Once you get higher level, you’ll unlock Coaching and Strategies. Coaching provides passive stat increases to an individual position in your team. Strategies provide constant stat increases to your entire team. Be sure to experiment with these and see which ones you like the best!
