This is a pretty amazing game, and its mechanics are pretty simple at first glance – but the more you advance and upgrade your heroes, the more complicated it gets. So for those of you who are to pass more stages and defeat more foes, you came to the perfect place to learn exactly how to do that.

And so without further ado, let’s not waste another second and dive right into the Masketeers: Idle Has Fallen tips and tricks to help you learn everything that you need to know about the game.

Use the orbs to cast skills

You will notice in the bottom side of the screen that several orbs will appear which coincide with which heroes you are playing. They are their skills – the more you upgrade the heroes, and unlock more orb combos (2, 3, 4+) the more powerful their skills will be.

I suggest that you always try to have some combos ready to cast – they will deal more damage than the normal attacks. Some of the orb skills can buff other allies and deal a lot of damage, so make sure that you use them when enemies prove to be very powerful.

Try to always use the skills when you are dealing with a boss, because that way you will defeat it much faster. Not only that, but you will also pass the stages much faster that way if you do it for the normal monsters too.

Tap orbs when your heroes died

Whenever one of your heroes (or more) died, you can still have their orbs down, but they will be grayed out. If you tap on them with the hero dead, they will not cast a skill, but instead reduce respawn time by 2 seconds! So make sure that you do it to revive your heroes much faster.

Double your offline earnings

Whenever you are going offline, you need to know that you will continue to make money and defeat enemies. That will add up, the more time you spend idle. I would suggest that once you come back online after being offline for a long time, you watch an advertisement to double all that idle income.

This will help you make a ton of money by basically using the offline time at its best! So I would argue that it’s more beneficial in some cases to stay offline than online! Especially if you are finding yourself stuck and cannot progress anymore – then you should go idle and come back online with a lot of currency to make upgrades.

Activate the Fortune Cat

The Fortune Cat will appear in the upper right corner of the screen. There you can choose to receive a few boosts, in exchange for watching 3 ads (in total). The Fortune Cat will give you a total of x3 boost.

All that you need to do is watch an advertisement, 3 times. You will unlock a boost of +3% Spark Wraith Spawn Chance when you have them all activated. I suggest that you have this on at all times, so whenever it is about to finish, you watch ads again to re-activate it.

Tap on the mask when a new one spawns

Sometimes you will spot in the upper left corner of the screen a mask icon. This will not always be there, only when you get a new one! So make sure that if you spot it, you tap on it. The mask will symbolize that you have acquired a new mask, which can be better than the ones that you already have – or not.

It’s pretty much RNG which mask you will get, but don’t worry – even if you haven’t got a better mask than the ones you already own, there is still something useful you can do with the unwanted mask / masks.

One more thing worth mentioning is that the mask will be for one of the heroes that you have. So it’s not guaranteed that you will get for a specific hero, but because you’ll get plenty of masks, you’ll eventually get for the hero you wanted too!

Equip better masks and runes

You should try to always equip the better masks that you obtain, as well as the better runes. You can do that by heading on to the characters tab (second tab, red) and tap on the mask of the character you want to change.

There you see the mask tab in the left side, and the runes in the right. Tap on the mask to open the masks menu and choose which mask you want your hero to equip from all of the ones you own.

In the right side you will see the runes – tap on the empty slots to equip the runes you want for the heroes – try to use the right ones, depending on the role of the heroes you have. So for instance if you have an Attacker, use offensive runes – and if you have a Defender, use defensive runes!

Dismantle unwanted masks

All of the masks that you are not going to use actually have a very good use – you can dismantle them (by tapping on them from the masks menu and then on the red “Disenchant” button which will turn the mask into Dust).

This Dust can be used in various ways, from upgrading one of the masks that you already own, to rerolling a certain stat from a mask! I suggest that you first reroll a mask to obtain the desired stats, then start upgrading them! In my opinion you should not do this with masks that have only 1 star – better save the Dust for the masks that are way better.

Open new chests

You will be able to open various chests by spending Crystals and by watching an advertisement (sometimes) to claim the free chests, whenever they are available. A new chest is always available once every 4 hours or 8 hours, and you can find them in the last tab, “Crystals” tab (the purple one in the bottom right).

Head on there and when you have collected 700 or 2000 Crystals you can open the chests by tapping on them. The more expensive the chest, the better the rewards will be – so if you are able to save 2000 Crystals by all means do it. Open the free chests in the meantime because when you have opened a total of 100 chests you will receive guaranteed a Legendary mask.

Check out your daily deals

Every single day you can check out the daily shop for some deals, which will renew every single day. The items you can find here vary, from masks to runes, and they will all cost Crystals. Try to not spend your Crystals randomly on them, but rather check and IF you see something that you like, then buy it.

I suggest that you always get the free rewards every single day, and if there is something that gives you way better stats than what you already have, and it comes at a reasonable price, then purchase that and save the remaining Crystals for either a Box or in case something good pops up in the store.

Unlock Relics and form Relic Sets

In the turquoise tab you will be able to see your Relics. This will open when you passed level 50 (correct me if I am wrong) and the Relics are various items which will give you general boosts to either your income, damage and much more.

You can try to hatch a new Relic whenever the option becomes available, or if you have enough Arcana. Arcana is obtained when you Transcend, and the later you choose to do it, the more Arcana you receive.

Relics can be upgraded by using the same Arcana, and depending on the Relic that you obtained, you can form various Relic Sets. The Sets give you additional stats, next to the ones given to you by the Relic itself, so try collecting the ones that you like the most.

Usually you are able to pick between 3 Relics, so you should try picking the ones with the stats that you like the most, or if you already have 2 out of the 3 Relics necessary to form a set, then pick the one that’s missing.

Transcend when you can’t progress further

Whenever you cannot progress any further and pass more levels, you can choose to Transcend. This option will not reset the characters you got – on the contrary, you will be able to switch them around and pick the 4 characters that you want!

I suggest that you always use the Arcana (received from Transcending) to get stronger and always Transcend at increasingly higher stages. This will show that you are constantly progressing, so make sure that you try and do it because the rewards will be better.
