Mario Party Superstars features five different Duel Minigames lifted from previous entries in the series. Unlike in the other minigame types, in Duel Minigames you will face your opponent head-on, so victory rests entirely on your shoulders. Having fewer players, however, results in much more straightforward minigames that are considerably easier to understand. To master them, however, you will have to spend the same amount of time with them as with the other, more complex minigame types.
