The Mario Kart Tour Tokyo Tour event has started a few hours ago, and it has added more content to the game than anticipated, with new unannounced characters and tracks.

A new trailer, which can be watched below, showcases the new content added to Mario Kart Tour a few hours ago. Alongside the Tokyo versions of Mario and Peach, the Tokyo Tour added Bowser Jr., The Koopalings, Lakitu, Baby Rosalina, Rosalina and Wario.

Speaking of tracks, the Tokyo track, Neo Bowser City, Kalimari Desert, Donut Plains, and SNES Rainbow Road have been added.

Mario Kart Tour was off to a rocky start, but it seems like things are being turned around, with new content coming only a few days after launch. Some of the controversial aspects of the game, however, such as the Golden Pass, have yet to be rectified, but we are definitely on the right track.

The Golden Pass worst aspect is its cost, which is extremely high for what it offers. There is one thing, however, that it offers that cannot be unlocked in any other way, 200cc races, so those who want to experience Mario Kart Tour at its most difficult will only be able to do so by subscribing.

As already mentioned, Mario Kart Tour has only been out for a short while, so there’s still the chance that Nintendo makes some changes that will make everything fairer to those who do not wish to subscribe.

Mario Kart Tour is now available on iOS and Android worldwide.
