The unique adventure-platform game Machinarium is one of the best games released this past year on portable gaming consoles.
If you don’t own a Playstation Vita but you still want to try the game out, you’ll finally get the chance to play Machinarium on your iPhone later next week.
Amanita Design has announced today that Machinarium will receive a mobile release called Machinarium Pockect Edition. All the enhancements of the iPhone version will be included in the iPad one with a new update.
Machinarium Pocket Edition isn’t going to be a straight port from the PsVita version. Controls will be optimized, graphics will be improved an a few extra features like achievements and more will be included. Even if you have played the original PsVita version, you’ll probably be interested to find out all the new additions of the iOS release.
Machinarium Pocket Edition stars a robot called Josef who has to get back to the city he lived in. As if this wasn’t difficult enough, Josef will also have to save his girlfriend, sneak past enemies and defuse bombs.
The game’s presentation is incredibly charming thanks to the jazzy soundtrack and beautiful graphics. The unique atmosphere will really take you in and not let you go until you have completed the game.
Machinarium Pocket Edition will be released on October 17th with a special launch day price of £1.49 / $1.99. The day after release the game will be available for £1.99 / $2.99. The iPad version will be updated as well next week.
