Lunar: Silver Star Story is still considered as one of the best role playing games ever released on consoles thanks to its beautiful world, charming characters and old school gameplay experience. A while back the game has been released on the App Store as Lunar: Silver Star Story Touch, allowing those who have never played this role playing game to experience it on more modern hardware.
If you haven’t purchased the game already it seems like you won’t be able to, at least in the near future, as Lunar: Silver Star Story Touch has been removed from the App Store a few hours ago . The game still appears in the download history so those who have purchased it can download it on their devices without any problem.
No reason has been given for the game’s removal from the App Store so we don’t know if Lunar: Silver Star Story Touch will ever become available again. Other titles have been removed form the App Store due to issues emerging with new iOS versions and later become available again so it could be the same with this classic role playing game.
Lunar: Silver Star Story Touch is based on the original version of the game and not the remake released on PSP years ago. The iOS version of the game comes with a few tweaks and new features such as touch controls and more which make the experience as enjoyable as it was on SEGA Mega CD and the original PlayStation.
