Lost Ark is a 2.5D isometric MMORPG with a massive presence in the Korean MMO scene. The game features an intricate character creation system, mechanically fluid gameplay, a well-crafted story, and, on top of all that, a well-polished MMO experience that is almost a myth nowadays.
On February 7th, Lost Ark pre-downloads started with the servers going live on February 8th. While a few players were busy for hours creating the ideal character in Lost Ark, most PC players weren’t even able to download the game via Steam.

Most of the players were not able to pre-download Lost Ark on Steam because of an issue from Valve’s end. The download issue sure created a massive stir among players, as they have been hyped for Lost Ark ever since it got an official global release date.
Soon, the issue caught the eye of Lost Ark developers Smilegate RPG. They took this matter to Valve, and teams from both parties began working on the download issue associated with Lost Ark.
Smilegate RPG also acknowledged the Lost Ark download issue on the game’s official Twitter handle, and they were constantly updating the community on the progress.
At the time of writing this article, around nineteen hours have passed, and the Lost Ark download issue seems resolved. There are a still few players who are facing slight issues related to downloading Lost Ark via Steam, but that will also be addressed and resolved soon.
