Things just don’t seem to go right for poor old Lily. After a horrible break up, she experiences a series of unfortunate occurrences, one after the other. But, like a watchful guardian angel, she receives news that her great aunt’s old manor and garden is now hers to own!

Welcome to Lily’s Garden: Design & Relax, a match-3 puzzle game with home building elements. Guide Lily on her quest to restore her aunt’s manor back to its former glory. Today we will go over some helpful tips to guide you along the path.

In our Lily’s Garden: Design & Relax cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide, we will show you how to stay on task, pass through the levels with ease, and get lots of coins.

Complete the tasks to restore the manor!

Lily has a long journey ahead of her if she wants to bring the manor back. Your recommended task will always show up on the left side of the screen, and if you want a full list of your current tasks, you can tap on the calendar icon at the bottom left of the screen.

As a general rule, you always want to try to complete the task at the top of the list first, as that is the recommended task. These tasks are considered the “main” tasks and are the key to moving on.

Create the special tiles!

The key to getting through the tougher levels is always trying to create special tiles. These tiles will help you reach your objective faster with careful use!

  • Rockets are created whenever you match 5 to 7 tiles. Tap the Rocket to launch it, which will automatically match all tiles in the row it is on.
  • Bombs are created whenever you match 8 to 9 tiles. Bombs detonate when tapped, matching all of the surrounding tiles.
  • Magic Flasks are created whenever you match 10 or more tiles. These flasks will match all tiles of the color you used to create the flask with. These things are the key to clearing levels quick!

In addition to the special tiles, you can combine any of the above tiles to create explosive results! Combining a Magic Flask with a Rocket for example will match all corresponding colored tiles and leave behind Rockets in their places.

Be wary of the special objectives!

Certain levels have different objectives than the typical “clear all the tiles”. You may have to deal with dandelions, seed bags, and more.

Dandelions must be dealt with by matching the tiles adjacent to the dandelions. This will cause them to poof, removing them from the board.

Seed Bags start the level at the very top of the board, and to match them you must bring them all the way down to the bottom of the board.

There are more objectives like this, so you need to pay attention and not just mindlessly match the tiles you see. Use your move wisely!

Conserve your moves for bonus coins!

Precious coins can be spent on continuing when running out of moves or for replenishing your boosters. You get coins every time you end a day and whenever you beat a level. You are awarded a fixed amount of coins at the end of a level, but you can earn more depending on your performance!

At the end of a level, any remaining moves you might have are converted into Rockets that are randomly placed on the board. They will go off on their own, and any tiles matched during this part is automatically turned into bonus coins!

Connect to Facebook for extra lives!

Continuing in Lily’s Garden is pretty tough, as it costs around 900 coins to add 5 more moves. Running out again results in the failure of a level, costing you a life. You can either wait to regenerate your lives or you can ask friends for lives!

Connecting your FB account also increases the maximum amount of lives you have on hand, and it stores your game progress in the cloud. We recommend doing this if you are planning to play for a long time!

Use your boosters if you having a difficult time!

Like most match-3 puzzle games, Lily’s Garden gets more challenging the farther you get. Do not be afraid to take some boosters with you into a level if you are having trouble with it. If you run out, you can buy more, but it is pretty expensive (1,900 coins).

Try to limit your booster usage between days. At the end of a day, you will receive a present worth around 1,500 coins, so it is usually enough to afford another booster.

  1. What is a “booster”? I’ve been on the same level for days. I’m about ready to get rid of the game as it’s become more stressful than relaxing.

  2. I’m on level 1639. Requirements: remove 50 pieces that are covered with a clear cover. The problem is that there are only 48. Is this an error or am I missing something?
