Legendary Pokemon Rayquaza To Appear In Pokemon GO Starting This Week

A new special event is starting this week in Pokemon GO, allowing players to catch an extremely powerful creature and even its Shiny variant.

Niantic confirmed that Pokemon GO players will be able to encounter the Legendary Pokemon Rayquaza in Raid Battles. The Pokemon will start appearing from tomorrow.

The event is going to last until September 2nd so you will have plenty of time to catch Rayquaza. The Shiny variant may also appear so make sure to always have a ball ready to catch it.

Just last week, new content has been added to Pokemon GO in the form of Shadow Pokemon. The dreadful Team Rocket also makes an appearance and will fight the players once enough Shadow Pokemon have been caught.

Pokemon GO is now available on iOS and Android in all regions.
