If you’re a fan of Bieber, then you’re going to love this game, as each level is synced up to one of his best songs. Even if you’re not a fan, Just Skate is still a pretty fun skating game, so let’s get started with our Just Skate cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

Choose the right skater!

Aside from Justin, each skater youngster has special moves that are exclusive to them. Some skaters have special grinding moves like Nose Grind, or special jump moves like a Kickflip. Depending on how the level is laid out, you may want to choose a different skater!

Be sure to pick the right skater for the job. For example, if you’re going into a level that has tons of rails to take advantage of, make sure you use a skater that has the Nose Grind (down swipe) ability. You’ll be able to rack up more points than normal because of all the grinding opportunities.

Grab all the candy you can!

There’s candy strewn about the levels, and it’s in your best interest to grab as much as you can. You’ll need a LOT of candy to unlock the later skaters, so try to get as many as possible. Remember that if you wipeout and restart from a checkpoint, you’ll lose the candies you’ve gotten up to that point so you’ll need to recollect them.

Come back often to try again!

You’re probably going to run out of lives VERY quickly if it’s your first time playing. Believe it or not, Just Skate is actually a pretty punishing game. If you so much as clip an obstacle or hazard, you’ll wipe out and have to retry the whole level again, spending one of your batteries. Continuing from a checkpoint costs even more batteries, so you’ll be out sooner than you know it.

The saving grace is that you recharge batteries pretty quickly in this game: one every two minutes. Even if you completely flub a level, just wait a bit and come back soon – you’ll be fully charged and ready to give it another go.

Complete all the star challenges!

It’s very important that you complete the star challenges. If you can complete all of them on a level, you’ll earn a big candy bonus at the end. As we mentioned, the better skaters are quite expensive so you’ll need all the candy you can get your hands on.

Most of the challenges aren’t too specific – you’ll always get one or two that requires you to collect a certain amount of candies in the level or score a specific amount of points. There is always one that requires you to go out of your way to do something though, so keep an eye out for those challenges.

Charge up for the big jumps!

Charged jumps are good for more than just pulling off nice tricks: they also get a you some good air. You’ll actually need to utilize this to cross some of the larger gaps, and if you mess up a charged jump you’re going into the drink! Be sure to keep an eye out for long declines or slopes – that’s a sure sign that a big jump is coming up.

That’s all for Just Skate. If you have any other tips or tricks to share, let us know in the comments below!
