The game is specially designed for split-screen cooperative multiplayer, meaning that it needs to be played with another player through local or online mode.

Unfortunately, there seems to be no release date for It Takes Two on the Nintendo Switch anywhere in the near future.

Earlier, during the Future Game Awards, the lead developer of the game, Josef Fares, spoke a little in detail about the game and its mechanics, along with information about its release.

“Not Switch, for now. We don’t have any plans for it now. Who knows? In the future, maybe,” Fares said, to the dismay of Switch-owners worldwide, presumably.

What is It Takes Two Gameplay Like?

The worlds in It Takes Two are filled with a variety of content: platforming, puzzles, mini-games, and so much more, packed with action sequences that will make you truly appreciate the cooperative aspects that the game has you take on.

Each level in the game introduces a brand-new mechanic which is designed for that world and then continues to switch up how you use that very mechanic, keeping you and your partner on your feet at all times.

At its heart, It Takes Two is a rom-com fit into an action-adventure game format, something that you don’t get to see every day. It is a light-hearted, humorous, and endearing story about two lovers who just want to be with each other, but are forced apart through wacky circumstances, followed by their adventures of teamwork that show players what love is truly about.
