Monster Hunter Now: Everything We Know So Far

As many of you will know, Ninantic are the clever people behind other augmented reality (AR) games such as Pokemon Go and Pikmin Bloom. They bring to life amazing and often adorable creatures into the real world through our phones as we go about our days. The location-based gaming experience has now been applied to an all-time fan-favorite Monster Hunter. It is confirmed that Monster Hunter Now will be free-to-play on IOS and Android devices so anyone can download and go!

Monster Hunter Now will have very similar features to other AR gaming experiences, with location-based play and the option to see the monsters in your own parks and streets with AR technology. Players will expect Monster Hunter Now to include real-time battles, not unlike Pokemon Go, and of course fierce multiplayer combat in your own neighborhood.

Players will be the monster hunters, of course, teaming up with friends or fighting off the amazing beasts on their own. The developers behind Monster Hunter Now have explained that players will be able to discover and investigate areas to find the monsters, and even find resources to upgrade your monster hunting gear. It will be far more than just walking and happening upon a fearsome creature to battle, with quests and storylines to explore as they go.

If you are ready to battle monsters in your own neighborhood, why not sign up to join the closed beta test, starting April 25? Monster Hunter Now is officially launching on IOS and Android in September 2023.
