At the time of writing, Atelier Ryza 3 is still unavailable on Game Pass. So, if you were looking to play the game for free or at a much cheaper cost, you may have to wait a few months for a Steam sale or a similar offer.

Atelier Ryza 3 being unavailable on Game Pass is self-explanatory, as the game is also not available on the Xbox platform as a whole. That is a possible reason why it is unlikely that Microsoft will invest their resources in bringing the game to Game Pass, especially for free, when it only benefits PC users. 

Currently, you can play Atelier Ryza 3 on PC, Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5. Apart from the Steam Deck, the game runs fine on all other platforms. Albeit there is a fix, performance issues have been plaguing the Steam Deck version of the game. 

Regarding whether Atelier Ryza 3 will ever come to Game Pass in the future, we may have an answer by taking a look at the franchise’s past history. But not a good one. Because its predecessors never made their way to Xbox or the Game Pass subscription service, it is safe to assume that Atelier Ryza 3 might continue the trend.
