Idle Dungeon Village Tycoon is an idle management game where you oversee a bustling new village with one twist – there are dungeons hidden below! Many adventurers will come into your village to rest and prep for their journey ahead, so it is up to you to build a hospital village that can earn you a little dough at the same time!
In our Idle Dungeon Village Tycoon tips and tricks guide, we will go over the basic flow of the game plus explain some of the finer details of ensuring that you are optimizing your village in every way possible. Let’s get started with our Idle Dungeon Village Tycoon cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide to building a profitable village!
Welcome to your new Dungeon Village!
As the newly appointed designer of your own Dungeon Village, you must ensure that every thing is running smoothly and adventurers leave your village well-equipped, well-fed, and of course well-rested.
Much like most idle games, the core gameplay loop is to check in every now and then to see how your businesses are doing, apply upgrades to enable them to earn even more gold, and let time do the rest.
As such, you will want to check in frequently to make sure that your profits are increasing accordingly. Idle Dungeon Village Tycoon is the perfect game to check in, buy some upgrades, then go back to doing whatever else you are doing.
Selling goods and upgrading your shops!
The tutorial will go over the basics of your village’s shops and the wharf. Your very first shop will be the Tavern where weary travelers and adventures can come and take a load off, maybe even share some tales with other patrons.
Here you will see that each shop has three factors: price, attendant, and time. Price is the total value of the shop’s main item, attendant is how many villagers are working the shop, and time is the amount of time it takes to process a transaction.
Accordingly, there are three upgrades that will improve each factor individually. Upgrade Shop increases the value of the item, Recruit adds another attendant to the shop, and Sales Efficiency reduces the amount of time it takes for an attendant to help a customer.
You cannot build an efficient shop unless you upgrade evenly, so be careful. Say for example you pour all of your gold into improving the item price, but neglect attendants and speed. Your items will sell at a high price, but they will be selling so slow your other shops will probably outsell them. Balance is key!
Introducing new adventurers to your village!
You cannot sell anything if you do not have anyone visiting your village, so we have take care of that first! Again, the tutorial will explain the basics of the wharf but we will go over it in more detail here.
Adventurers will come into your village periodically through boat travel. Your Apartment can hold adventurers who are planning to stay in your village for the long term. Apartment Remodeling will increase the maximum population by two, and Luxurious Decoration will increase profits from the Apartment.
The Wharf has similar upgrades. Expand Cabin lets you ferry more adventures to your village per trip, and High Quality Service increases the profits generated with each trip.
If you are noticing a lack of adventurers roaming your village, your apartment or wharf may need a few upgrades.
Keep an eye on the Operation Report to see problem areas!
Tapping on the chart button at the top right corner will bring you to the Operation Report. Here, you can get a closer look at how your village is doing, profit wise. Come here often to check up and see what areas you can improve on to make your village more efficient.
This chart will show you your total income, adventurer volume, resident adventurers, the village’s population, and queueing adventurers – this is the one you should pay attention to the most.
Queueing adventurers shows how many adventures are currently waiting in a line somewhere in your village. A few queueing adventures is to be expected, but if you have more than around 20 in the queue, then you may have a bottleneck somewhere.
Look around your village’s shops and see which one has the biggest line. Upgrade that shop’s attendants and speed to help deal with the line and generate more profits.
Buy new islands to increase profits!
A good business person is always looking for ways to expand, and buying new islands is the best way to do so. Once you have earned a sizable chunk of gold, you can purchase a new island accessible from the island menu screen at the top right.
When you move onto a new island, your village will start from scratch and you will lose all of your upgrades and gold. However, you will also have a permanent multiplier on all of your profits! For example, when you move onto Desert Island, you will all of your profits will be multiplied by 50x!
As such, it is imperative that you buy a new island as soon as you are able to afford to do so. The drawbacks are only temporary and you will earn so much more gold much quicker once your village is back up and running.
Collect from your stalls!
You see those colored stripes stands sitting around your village? These are your stalls. They will generate money for you over time based on how your shops are doing, and these stalls contain quite a lot of money. Whenever you see the coin above them, they are ready for collection.
Do not forget to collect from your stalls! Your shops generate a lot of gold on their own, but the stalls contain a lot of backup money that you can use towards betterment of your village.
Send brave adventurers on expeditions for loot!
Once you get to the Desert Island and unlock the Armor and Weapon shops, you can access Expeditions. Brave adventurers will volunteer to delve into the dungeons below your village in search of glorious treasures.
When you hit the Convene Adventurer button, your expedition team will begin to fill up automatically with residents from your village. The more villagers you have, the faster it will fill. Once it is full, confirm the expedition and they will be on their way.
You must wait a few hours before the expedition team comes back. Once they do, you will receive a ton of gold and even some diamonds as well. This is a great way to earn diamonds, so try to do expeditions as much as you can.
Complete the tasks!
If you are ever unsure of what to do next, you can always consult your task list, the scroll button at the top right corner. There are 95 tasks in total, and they will lead you down the general progression route.
Completing them not only helps you progress through the game, but you are also awarded gold and diamonds for doing so. There is no reason to ignore these, so make sure that you are constantly working towards them!
