The next chapter in the Hungry Shark series is here! I hope your appetite is big, because this time, the sharks are taking on the world! In Hungry Shark World, you control a shark and you have only one goal: EAT EVERYTHING! Survive, watch out for bigger sharks, and eat everything you can – including humans! 1. Collect the daily chests!
On each level, there will be five daily chests hidden throughout the level for you to collect. The first chest you find an open will contain a nice 500 coins, and each successive chest you find after that will be more valuable, ending with the final chest being 2,100 coins! This is just for Pacific Islands, so the other levels may have even better rewards. Search every nook and cranny of the levels to find them. Be fast about it; these chests will disappear after a certain amount of time has passed, and you’ll have to wait until the next day to find them again.
2. Buy the map!
Each level has a map that goes with it. You can find these in the shop, and they’re sorta pricey but worth it. They show you the layout of the whole level, but you can upgrade them further to have to reveal even more info. If you fully upgrade a map, it’ll show you each letter of the HUNGRY spelling and the exact locations of the daily chests. These maps may be an expensive investment, but they’re worth it in the long run.
3. Complete the missions!
Before starting a level, you’ll see three boxes at the bottom of the screen. These are your missions! They’ll ask you to do certain tasks like eat a specific amount of fish, swim a certain distance, and survive for a certain amount of time. Completing these missions rewards you with much needed coins, so you should try to do as many as you can. Upon completion you’re given a new one right away, so keep on doing them to make a lot of coins.
4. Upgrade your shark!
In order to unlock the next shark for purchase, you need to reach a certain point threshold with your current shark. This means that you shouldn’t hold onto your coins; upgrade your current shark as much as you can. The more you do so, the easier it’ll be to score high. Speed increases your shark’s general speed, bite makes you chew through prey faster, and boost increases your boost meter. They’re all helpful, so level each one up equally!
5. Eat eat eat!
So, seeing that you’re a shark and all, the main goal of the game is to eat as many fish as you can! There are a little tricks that you should know though.
- Eating a lot of fish in rapid succession will give you a score multiplier. You can see your current multiplier in the top left corner. If you continue you eat fish without stopping, it’ll keep increasing. This is the key to getting a ton of points!
- You’ll notice that some fish have a gold shine to them. Eating these fish will give you bonus coins on the spot. Also, notice that gold rush bar at the bottom? Eating anything in general will increase this, and once it’s full, all fish will turn gold for a limited time. Eat everything!
- Leave no fish behind… they belong in your stomach! If you come across a school of fish, eating every single one of them will grant you a “school’s out” bonus! This nets you a little point bonus, so eat them all!
