Innersloth keeps bringing new updates to the co-op murder mystery game Among Us, first released in 2018. As Crewmates, players must use their deduction skills and keen eye to spot who the imposter is and report them before they kill everyone. The Imposter, meanwhile, must secretly go about killing Crewmates and sabotage the ship before they complete their tasks. The latest patch comes with a ‘Friends List,’ along with some surprise cosmetics which vary between platforms. Check out the patch notes below to find out what this new friends list entails.
What is the Friends List Update?
Here is what you can expect from the v2022.3.29 update:
- A unique friend code
- Ability to invite friends to your lobby
- Ability to send and receive friend requests
- A ‘recently played with’ list
- Ability to block other players
- Ability to show or hide your friend code
- Ability to on or off the lobby invite notifications
Anyone using a child’s account will need a parent or guardian’s permission to access the Friends List.
These changes are particularly welcomed by anyone who streams Among Us. The changes will make it easier to get friends (or followers) into the same game, and to keep toxic players out using the block function. The ability to hide your friend code is also a welcome addition for streamers who want complete control over who adds them or joins the game.
Many players will be pleased to see this update, especially the ‘Recently Played With’ list. This will help players who have had memorable interactions with others in game or in chat to add them as soon as they like. It can also help to find those players who have been rude or just plain bad at the game and block them!
