It's easier than you think!

If you’re a newer Pokemon player, Sword and Shield are probably the first games where you’ve heard about Apricorns being a feature in Pokemon. Interestingly enough, Apricorns were introduced back in Generation II, in Pokemon Gold and Silver, as a means to get different PokeBalls.

Since then, Apricorns have only had appearances few and far between, with Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Isle of Armor DLC bringing them back into the spotlight.

If you want to learn how to use Apricorns in Pokemon Sword and Shield, what they are for, and more, then this is the right guide for you. Read on below!

Where to Find Apricorns in Pokemon Sword and Shield

Just like any other Pokemon game featuring Apricorns, in Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Isle of Armor DLC, Apricorns were introduced as a means of crafting exclusive PokeBalls.

There are a couple of ways you can find some Apricorns of your own. The main place to find Apricorns are in various Berry Trees spread out across the Isle of Armor, but there are other ways.

After you have fully completed the Isle of Armor Pokedex, a blonde girl will routinely appear at random in every area of the Isle of Armor. If you give her 100 Watts, she will give you 4 of a particular Apricorn.

In Crown Tundra, you can find them hidden around the Dyna Tree Hill, respawning once a day. You can also purchase a bundle of 5 of a specific color from the Watt Trader in Snowslide Slope each day, with the color changing daily.

Now that you have some Apricorns of your own, take them to the Cram-o-matic in Master Dojo to create PokeBalls. The PokeBalls you receive from Apricorns are based on the color of the Apricorns, but will still come out quite randomly. You can mix and match to get certain PokeBalls, but the same combination can create multiple kinds of PokeBalls.
