How to Upgrade Your Wallet in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

In The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, Link will need plenty of Rupees to purchase the items he needs to bring his adventure to a successful conclusion. The young hero starts the game with a small wallet that can only hold a small number of Rupees, but it is possible to upgrade the wallet multiple times to hold way more Rupees at the same time.

Here’s how to upgrade the wallet and even purchase extra wallets to further increase Rupee carrying capacity.

How to Upgrade Your Wallet in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

Link will start the game with the Small Wallet, which can only hold 300 Rupees at a time. To upgrade the Wallet, you will need to gather Gratitude Crystals and give them to Batreaux. You will need a total of 80 Gratitude Crystals to upgrade the wallet to the max.

  • Medium Wallet – 5 Gratitude Crystals – Holds 500 Rupees
  • Big Wallet – 10 Gratitude Crystals – Holds 1000 Rupees
  • Giant Wallet – 50 Gratitude Crystals – Holds 5000 Rupees
  • Tycoon Wallet- 80 Gratitude Crystals – Holds 9000 Rupees

How to Purchase Additional Wallets

Rupee carrying capacity can be further increased by purchasing the three Extra Wallets. These can be bought from Beedle’s Shop for 100 Rupees each, and increase carrying capacity by 300 Rupees, bringing the total number of Rupees that Link can carry in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD to 9900 Rupees.
