To advance a clan in Roots of Panchia, players must unlock new tools, upgrades, and other things while completing Prophecies. While the rest are attached to game progression, and you will eventually learn about them as your play through Roots of Panchia, completing the Prophecies is challenging as they don’t have detailed description or quest marker that guides you to your objectives.
Among the list of Prophecies in Roots of Panchia, we have one called “Protected By The Spirits,” whose description reads, “In the caves, they got close to the spiritual world and faced Pacha’s challenges.”
To complete the Protected By The Spirits Prophecy, you must meet four different challenges, one of them being the Monkey’s Challenge which many players fail at as they don’t know how to unlock the Monkey Totem to proceed with the challenge.

How to Unlock Monkey Totem in Roots of Panchia
In Roots of Panchia, you can unlock the Monkey Totem by offering the following items:
- Fermented Fish x1
- Ground Up Grain x1
- Juice x1
When you donate any of the above items, you will get the message, “The Totem accepts the offering.” Once you donate all three things, you can interact with the Monkey Totem and select “Yes” when asked, “Are you ready to start the challenge?”
After that, you will be teleported to the challenge area and briefly explained about the stage and what you must do to complete it.
That aside, if you are having trouble finding the Monkey Totem in Roots of Panchia, go to the Horse Statue, head toward the right, and then in the north direction, and you will find the Monkey Totem.
