Reigns is a strategy video game developed by Nerial and published by Devolver Digital. Set in a fictional medieval world, it places the player in the role of a monarch who rules the kingdom by accepting or rejecting suggestions from advisors.
Initially seeing success on the Windows platform, Reigns Mobile started to gain traction and has a lot of players still hooked to the Tinder-style decision-making for everyday affairs.
Today we will be discussing the Devil and how to trick him at the end, but confounding the Master of Deceit himself is no easy task. Here is how you can deceive Lucifer himself.
Tricking the Devil
Bear in mind that a lot of decisions being displayed here will require some amount of favorable RNG. Also, be warned that this will be spoiler-heavy, so if you wish to not ruin your first-time experience, we recommend you look away.

For those that are still here, this is what should be done, step-by-step.
- Firstly, the player needs to have acquired the “Doomed” achievement, which means they would have had to unmask the Senator.
- Follow one of the upset nobles which will lead to the player being kidnapped. Flee with the Senator’s help.
- The Senator turns out to be a woman and the player becomes her lover. Three years after this event, she will inform the player of the Devil’s existence and intentions.
- If the player has run into the Witch that offers you a way to trick the Devil, ask her for help.
- The Witch gives you the numbers: 1043, 683, 1214, 842, 1432 and 1669. These number represent years and also corresponding alchemical symbols. The symbols represent doors that the player finds in the crypt: Fire, Arsenic, Acid, Gold, Pentagram, and Pentagram.
- Open the gold doors in the crypt. Avoid Arsenic doors (unless specified) because they generally have traps.
- Defeat the skeleton and find the torch. Use it to see cracks in the walls.
- Follow this specific order through the doors: Fire, Arsenic, Acid.
- Go through the broken wall to the opposite of the Gold Door, then the door opposite of the Pentagram, then through the Pentagram Door.
- Kloc will be encountered. Interacting with him will lead to him asking for Strawberries.
- Moving away from this for a while, awakening the Vase provided to the player by their Doctor is the next priority. To do so, giving the Vase a cold, Red Ruby is needed. This is given to the player as a reward by the Witch from earlier, for surviving fifteen years of old age.
- After doing this, start a Crusade to cause the awakened Vase to appear in Lamascus. The Vase gives the player a chance to restore something to life. Choose Strawberries.
- Return to the crypt, find Kloc and give him the Strawberries. Doing this prompts Kloc to help the player each time any resource drops low.
- Now that the setup is done, wait for the Devil to appear, which happens every 666 years. Once Death Wish is activated, respond with “No” to everyone. Kloc’s resource refill is invaluable here.
- Since the Devil cannot kill what is already dead, his reign ends and he reverts back to a dog. When he barks, answer “Yes” and his curse will be broken!
