Pokémon Unite is a MOBA game, so in general things can snowball pretty hard. You always want to give it your all, but sometimes things just might be irrecoverable, at which point you may want to consider surrendering. Surrendering immediately ends the game in a loss for you, but it saves some time if you know you can’t come back. Today we’ll show you how to surrender in Pokémon Unite!

How to Surrender

To surrender a losing match, you’ll need to open the scoreboard by hitting the + button, then hit the – button to open the settings. Here you can change the game settings like audio, controls, and more, but the button you’re looking for is at the bottom: the surrender button.

There are a few caveats to surrendering. First, you cannot surrender within the first five minutes of a game. Don’t give up, no matter how bad the beginning of the match is – you might still be able to come back! If you’re losing pretty hard in the second half of a match, then you can opt to surrender.

When you start a surrender vote, your team must also follow through with it. If the majority of players do not agree, then the match will continue as normal. The player who initiated the vote to surrender will also have a 40-second cooldown applied, and players can only initiate a surrender vote three times per match.

Remember: comebacks are possible in Pokémon Unite! If you’re late into the game, a well-timed Rotom or Zapdos capture can really turn the tables, so don’t give up when the game is still winnable!

That’s how you call to surrender in Pokémon Unite. If you have any other questions, let us know in the comments below!
