Link is no longer alone in his adventures in Hyrule! The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom introduces a new mechanic where you get to summon avatars of different companions to aid you in fights or just keep you company as you explore the vast Hyrule map. In our opinion, it is a welcome change that brings more fun to every aspect of the game.

To get the ability to summon Tulin in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you will need to finish the quest called Tulin of Rito Village. Upon completion, you will receive a Vow of Tulin, Sage of Wind that you can use to summon or dismiss Tulin’s avatar.

If you want to summon Tulin’s avatar, you will just have to go into your inventory (the Key Items tab) and select the Vow of Tulin, Sage of Wind. You will need to hit A once to get ready and then press the same button again to use Tulin’s abilities. Keep in mind that you will need to get out of Rito Village (or any other settlement for that matter) to use this item.

Summoning Tulin comes with great perks. If you’re exploring the world, you can get to otherwise unavailable places if you interact with Tulin’s avatar while paragliding because Tulin creates a powerful gust of wind that will boost Link’s speed. In combat, Tulin’s wind can knock back items or enemies that are not too big.

We hope you have fun with this cheerful little Rito and put his abilities to good use! If you run into some other challenges while playing this Zelda game, check out more of our helpful guides in the dedicated Tears of the Kingdom section here on TouchTapPlay.
