First of all, this is not really chess. The puzzle in Postulant’s Parlor in Remnant 2 is more of a match-three tic-tac-toe game, where you play against an NPC and try to get three pieces in a line before your opponent.
Due to the random nature of the NPC’s moves, we cannot give you an exact pattern to follow to win this game every time. However, you can try this approach to solve the chess puzzle in Postulant’s Parlor in Remnant 2 across several games until AI matches it as well:
- Start by moving your central piece up;
- The enemy might move the piece closest to you diagonally to take the central spot—counter it by moving your bottom piece to the left;
- In case the enemy pulls the piece to your left toward them, move the piece you used in the previous step to the central left position;
- NPC won’t have any other options but to push the central piece toward you, leaving you with the winning move: return the first piece you moved back to the center, and you will have three in line.
