A large part of Cult of the Lamb gameplay is for players to manage their cults, this usually involves building and upgrading structures, keeping your followers happy, and unforgivingly culling those that could lead to the downfall of the cult.

How to Sacrifice a Follower in Cult of the Lamb

So if you want to learn how to sacrifice followers in Cult of the Lamb, you will need to progress through the game and defeat the second boss. Once you’ve defeated the boss, The One Who Waits will reward you with the Sacrifice of the Flesh ritual, this is one of the Doctrines in Cult of the Lamb.

After you unlock it, it reads, “sacrifice a follower to grow your strength and unlock new abilities and weapons. Higher level followers will be more valuable when sacrificed.” Once you’ve received this, you can use it to conduct the sacrifice ritual.

Now, to perform a sacrifice, head back to your chapel in the home commune and there you’ll have the option to choose a Ritual and a specific one at that. You should select Sacrifice and choose from your list of followers who you wish to sacrifice.

After choosing, a cutscene will begin as followers come into the chapel donning hoods, and you’ll notice the follower who’s about to be sacrificed standing in the centre before being killed by a gigantic tentacle.
