How to Play Multiplayer on Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

There is an online hub in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl called the Union Room. Here, players can trade with others online or locally and have battles with each other. To find the Union Room, players must make their way upstairs in a Pokemon Center and then speak to the nurse in the middle.

Once players obtain their first badge in Oreburgh City, they can start visiting the basement of the Pokemon Center. As soon as players have been to the basement, they can then press Y and access the Union Room from basically anywhere in the Sinnoh Region. This excludes inside buildings and caves.

Players can access the Local Room to connect with friends via a local network, or the Global Room to connect with players anywhere in the world.
