How to Play League of Legends: Wild Rift with a Controller

League of Legends: Wild Rift is one of the well-known MOBAs available for mobile devices. Like the original League of Legends for PC, Wild Rift also features a 5-versus-5 multiplayer battles where you can pick from a wide variety of champions and compete for ranks. However, as LoL: Wild Rift is ultimately a mobile port of a PC game, there are some changes to make the game more optimized for touch devices.

Players accustomed to League of Legends on PC may find the touch controls of Wild Rift weird and uncomfortable. Because of this, many players wonder if there’s a way to play League of Legends: Wild Rift using a controller for better playability. While Wild Rift is still pretty much enjoyable with touch controls, some players may be interested in trying alternative options like a controller. Unfortunately, League of Legends: Wild Rift does not have controller support, just like the original LoL.

If Wild Rift had an official controller support, players would be able to directly connect a controller and start playing the game, like Minecraft and CoD. Luckily, there are unofficial methods to play Wild Rift using a controller, but there’s a catch. To play League of Legends: Wild Rift with a controller, you will have to use an android emulator on a PC.

You can find many android emulators available online for free. Before downloading an emulator, make sure it has controller support. We have tried Wild Rift on a few different emulators like Bluestacks, LDPlayer, and NoxPlayer.

All of them have the option to map key bindings on to controllers as per your preference. You may need to experiment with different control configurations until you find the best key bindings for playing Wild Rift with controller.
