So you wanna play Fortnite on a laptop, but aren’t sure if it will work on a device like the Chromebook? Well, lucky for you, it sure will!

How to Play Fortnite on Chromebook

There are 2 major methods you can use to run and play Fortnite on your Chromebook:

Side-Loading

1. Turn off your Chromebook.
2. Hold ESC and F3, press the power button.
3. Once the recovery screen opens, press CTRL+D.
4. Enable Android apps.
5. Go to settings.
6. Click on Play Store.
7. Click on Manage Android Preferences.
8. Click on Security.
9. Click on Unknown Sources.
10. Download a Fortnite apk on your Android phone.
11. Get the apk on your Chromebook.
12. Run the EpicGamesApp.apk on your Chromebook.
13. Click on Package Installer.
14. Click on Install.
15. Click Open.
16. Click on Install again.
17. Finish the installation.

This should let you run and play Fortnite on your Chromebook now.

Nvidia Method

1. Visit https://play.geforcenow.com/
2. Log in, or Register for free.
3. Type in ‘Fortnite’ in the search bar.
4. Select Fortnite.
5. Press play.
6. Link your Epic Games account.
7. Access the game through you Nvidia games collection.

Fair warning though: even though this is the simpler method, when using a free GeForce account, you will only get 1 hour of playing time before you’ll need to re-launch the session.

This means that you will need to carefully time your matches, or you can be kicked during a match as well. Then again, you can pay $100 for a year of unlimited access to GeForce Now, but that is a steep price.
