How to Make Purple Pigment in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Ursula, the scheming evil mermaid from The Little Mermaid, is one of the few villains you can befriend in Disney Dreamlight Valley. She agrees to live in the valley in relative peace, but before she comes around, you’ll have to do some tasks for her first! One of the tasks involves Purple Pigment, so today, we’ll show you how to make Purple Pigment in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Getting Purple Pigment in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Once you free Ursula, she’ll quickly realize that she doesn’t have a lair to call home anymore. This will start the friendship quest “Lair Sweet Lair,” in which you’ll build a new lair for Ursula.

The first steps of the quest are relatively straightforward—you’ll need to place her potential house in the water, then check in with Ursula to see what she’s thinks about it. She’ll tell you that she wants to make deals using paper, so head over to Merlin.

Merlin will unlock the recipe for the Magical Scroll and Ink Kit, which needs:

  • Dream Shard x 6
  • Purple Pigment x 2
  • Empty Vial x 1

Purple Pigment and Empty Vial are needed exclusively for this quest, so they should unlock once you get to this step. To craft Purple Pigment, you’ll need to gather:

  • Purple Falling Penstemon x 4 – Found randomly around the Plaza.
  • Purple Rising Penstemon x 4 – Found randomly around Peaceful Meadow.

Just wander around the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow, and you should come across a bunch of random flowers. You’re bound to find the Purple Penstemons after a couple trips around. If you’re not having much luck, just go explore another area for a while and let the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow respawn items.
