To increase the rarity of any item from Common to Rare and from Rare to Epic, you will need to perform Infusions and have a set amount of special items.

To start the Infusion process, open the game’s main menu and then pick the Enchantment option. In the new menu, press the R button twice to get access to the Infusion menu. Here, you will find different recipes divided into four different tiers. The first tier is for level 1-9 equipment, the second for level 10- 15, the third is for level 16-21, and the fourth and last is for level 22-30. All tiers include two different recipes for turning gear from Common to Rare and from Rare to Epic.

Once you have picked the recipe, you will have to invest a certain amount of Essence: White Essence for the first tier, Green Essence for the second tier, Blue Essence for the third tier, and Purple Essence for the fourth and final tier. If you have enough, you can start the Infusion process and improve the rarity of your item. By doing so, you will increase all of the stats of the item, so as to make them viable even if their level is a little on the low side. Given how some weapons and armors have special effects, this allows you to come up with some unique builds without having to go into battle with low stats.
