In Darkest Dungeon 2, you can increase Flame by completing unique nodes like The Lair, Oblivion’s Rampart, or Oblivion’s Ingress. Whenever you complete any of the listed nodes, your party gets 10 Flame, which eventually helps increase the Flame.

Apart from that, you can get around 15 to 30 Flame from Assitance Encounters and other lucrative rewards. Since the amount of Flame you get from the nodes depends on quirks, we recommend double-checking your perks before jumping into an Assitance Encounter node.

That aside, there are even combat items like ‘Glimmer of Hope’ in Darkest Dungeon 2 that players can use to obtain Flame. Other than that, players use the Inn to recharge their Flame to the current max limit. So whenever you start your journey in a new region, you will have 100 Flames.

Do you know what the best part is? When your Flame reaches zero, you trigger a Cultists battle, which is quite challenging, to be honest. Defeating the Cultists will reward you with a whooping 40 Flame

To summarize things, here is how you can increase Flame in Darkest Dungeon 2:

  • Tackle down nodes like The Lair, Oblivion’s Rampart, or Oblivion’s Ingress.
  • Use combat items like Glimmer of Hope.
  • Use the Inn to recharge your Flame.
  • Do more Assistance Encounters.
  • Defeat Cultists.
