Ever since it launched, Rocket League Sideswipe has gone on to attract hundreds of thousands of players on the mobile platform and has so far received good reviews for its exciting gameplay and features.
The gameplay concept is very unique, as it allows you play soccer using cars. There are up to 5 different types of shots to pull off in this game, from the Red shot, Purple shot, Gold shot, Delayed flipshot, and the No flip shot.
In this article, we’ll be showing you how to execute and hit the Purple shot. So without further ado, let’s dive into it.
Hitting the Purple Shot in Rocket League Sideswipe
The Purple Shot is also known as The Underside Shot, and it’s one of the most loved by players among all the other types of Shots. The Purple Shot is very useful since, after you execute it, it forces your car back to the ground, which gives you a chance to quickly get back into a defensive position.
This makes it more like a defensive shot, compared to other types of Shots which can take you off the field when you do them.
To hit the Purple Shot, what you need to do is face the underside of your car towards the ball, then let go of your left thumbstick and jump. It’s basically as if you’re double-jumping away from the ball.
Lastly, when it comes to hitting the Purple Shot, be sure you’re not holding any direction on the left stick as it’ll make you flip your car into that direction instead.
