We’re not talking only about those incredibly challenging boss fights but also about figuring out how to reach certain locations that taunt you by showing up on the map and not giving any clues on how to get there.

One such location is The Rold Route which opens up after you defeat Morgott, The Omen King. This route gives you access to the Grand Lift of Rold and finally to the Mountaintops of the Giants.

How to Get to The Rold Route and the Grand Lift of Rold in Elden Ring

The best point to start from is the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace in Leyndell. When the game loads, head up the nearby staircase and then turn left. Continue down that path until you reach a big gate with double doors. Kill any enemies lurking nearby and continue up a winding staircase ahead. There will be a few enemies on the stairs as well so be prepared.

When you’re done cutting those creatures into pieces, get to the top of the stairs and turn left to walk into a small chamber between two statues. Pull the lever to go up and follow the path until you reach a big circular building, where you will need to pull another lever and go down this time. Exit the tower to enter the Forbidden Lands.

Now, you need to keep heading northeast, preferably on your mount, until you reach Black Blade Kindred. You can choose to fight or run away. In any case, head up from this location and finally get to the Grand Lift of Rold.
