Fortnite has decked the halls and hung the stockings, and is ready for the festive season! Epic Games have introduced Winterfest 2021 with the latest update. These festivities include exclusive Winterfest challenges, Santa and Reindeer Jonesy characters wandering the map throwing gifts, and a whole host of free gifts! The gift list consists of 14 presents altogether, not including extra bonus content for Crew Pass members, from skins to back bling, emotes to music, and everything in between. One of the gifts offered is a Matrix-themed glider: The Sentinel.
How to Get the Sentinel Glider in Fortnite
The Sentinel Glider was originally meant to be sold as an item in the Item Shop but after the news of its appearance was leaked, the devs decided to include it for free in the Winterfest advent gifts. It is part of the Follow The White Rabbit set – a nod the iconic line seen by Neo on his computer, in the first Matrix movie.
The Sentinels are sharp-clawed killing machines with red optic sensor ‘eyes’, that appear in the Matrix movies. They patrol the sewers beneath the planet’s ravaged surface, hunting down the human resistance. As a Winterfest glider in Fortnite it isn’t the most festive item in the collection but it is pretty great to get it for free!
Getting the Sentinel Glider could not be easier. Just visit the Lodge where Sgt. Winter is keeping all your presents and find the package with the glitchy gift wrap. You can open one gift a day, and you have until the 6th of January to open all 14 gifts including the coveted Sentinel Glider. Two of the 14 gifts- the two exclusive winter skins- are only available to open once the rest have been chosen, plus there is a frosty llama back bling and a cool snowboard to claim when you have completed all the Winterfest challenges.
