Mario Kart Tour is taking us on a trip to space with their latest update! The Mario Kart Space Tour runs between November 17th and December 1st and brings a bunch of galactic items, fun challenges, and new courses to race. Baby Daisy and Baby Rosalina are ready to be unlocked in the Tour Gifts with your hard-earned Grand Stars, and there is a selection of amazing space-themed items to win in the Spotlight pipe. The exclusive kart featured in the Spotlight during this tour is the Lunar Cruiser- Satellaview Mario’s moon buggy! Find out below how to win it for your next race.

All About the Lunar Cruiser

The Lunar Cruiser is a white and gold moon buggy kart complete with solar panels. The kart’s special skill is Rocket Start Plus, which greatly increases the boost time and points earned when you perform a Rocket Start when you begin the race. Perform the Rocket Start by tapping and holding when the countdown hits 2, this grants you a massive boost to your starting speed.

The Lunar Cruiser’s Favoured Courses give it 1.5 X its bonus points:

  • Rainbow Road T
  • Rainbow Road R/T
  • Rosalina’s Ice World R

You can boost the skill power by levelling the kart up. At level 7 the Lunar Cruiser is granted 1.25 X bonus points and 6 X bonus point boost.

How to Get the Lunar Cruiser

The Lunar Cruiser kart features in the green pipe Spotlight during this Space Tour. To obtain the kart you must earn Grand Stars during your races and unlock the Tour Gift levels. Some of these levels contain Rubies which you can then spend on the Spotlight. Rubies are also available by completing various challenges, or by purchasing them in the Shop for real money. The Spotlight is a gacha style game so you are not guaranteed to getting the Lunar Cruiser straight away- it has a 1.0204% chance of winning it. Each pull of the Spotlight pipe costs 5 rubies, or 10 pulls for 45 Rubies.

Just pull the green pipe down and release- it will then show you what you have won! There is one exclusive Lunar Cruiser available per player.
