Pokémon Legends: Arceus was released last month after much fanfare and hype. It is the latest installment in the Pokémon series and takes a much different turn than its predecessors do in terms of storytelling and game mechanics.
The game takes place in the ancient Hisui region, which would become modern-day Sinnoh. Fighting and capturing Pokémon is drastically different with battles taking place on the overworld instead of turn-based instance battles, as was the staple of the series thus far.
Included in the 242 Pokémon in Legends: Arceus are Pokémon from the older generations as well, most of them being from Sinnoh, for obvious lore purposes. Today, we will be talking about Cherrim.
Cherrim
Cherrim is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation 4’s games of Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. It is the evolved form of Cherubi and has seen its fair share of usage in competitive Pokémon battles, as well as being a fan-favorite of many.

Cherrim can be difficult to acquire for some players because it is quite an uncommon encounter on the overworld. We recommend capturing a Cherubi first and evolving it to Cherrim to have a much easier time instead.
Cherrim is one of the few Pokémon to have more than one form. By default, its Overcast Cherrim form is what the player would see upon first encountering a Cherrim. But it also has an alternate form called Sunshine Cherrim.
Cherrim Sunshine
Cherrim Sunshine (or Sunshine Cherrim) is an alternate form of Cherrim. Even though the Cherrim forms look drastically different from one another, their stats aren’t altered in any way.

The way to acquire Sunshine Cherrim, that we know of, is to add a Cherrim to your party, either by capturing or by evolving one from Cherubi, and then sending it out to battle. If the player has access to Sunny Day, all they have to do is expose Cherrim to the bright sunshine and watch it change forms to its Sunshine form!
