Read on to find out.

Darkrai, the pure Dark type Pokemon introduced in the original Generation IV games, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, is a Pokemon that will haunt your dreams. No, literally. It will literally haunt your dreams. That’s like, it’s whole shtick.

Darkrai gets the ability Bad Dreams that depletes a bit of its opponent’s HP each turn that it remains asleep. To supplement its fantastic ability, it possesses a signature move called Dark Void, that puts all opposing Pokemon to sleep if the move connects.

Since Darkrai is such an amazing Legendary, no wonder people want to get its shiny version whenever they have the chance. If you too want to know how to get Shiny Darkrai in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, then just continue reading this guide.

Can you Get Shiny Darkrai in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?

We’re sorry to be the ones that break the news to you, but Shiny Darkrai cannot be caught in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl as of writing this guide. Heck, even a regular Darkrai cannot be obtained right now, so a Shiny variant is out of the question.

In the original Diamond and Pearl games, you needed to have finished the story involving the Lunar Wing, gotten the Member Card (which was only acquirable during an event), and then have accessed Newmoon Island from the Harbor Inn in Canalave City.

The ability to catch Darkrai or its shiny variant was only available during a specific event, and hence, we are almost certain to get a future event that lets players catch Darkrai, which also means the ability to get a Shiny Darkrai as well through shiny hunting.

All we can do for now is wait and watch!
