How To Get Psybeam (TM016) in Scarlet and Violet

Technical Machines, or TMs, are data discs that can bestow new moves upon your Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. TMs are a quick and easy way to hone your battle strategies, as you don’t need to grind out levels to learn certain moves. Today, we’ll show you how to get Psybeam (TM016) in Scarlet & Violet.

Obtaining Psybeam (TM016) in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

TM016 teaches Psybeam, a Psychic-type special move that deals damage with 65 base power and 100 accuracy. Psybeam also has a 10% chance to cause confusion.

Before you can craft TM016 at the TM Machine, you’ll need to find it first. There are two places where you can find the Psybeam TM, and we’ll list them both here.

The first location is near the city of Medali, which is located in the West Province (Area Three). Fly to the Pokémon Center on the east side, then follow the path leading out to the east. When you get to the hillside, take the path up north.

You’ll have to follow a winding mountain trail that leads back south, and eventually you’ll run into a big tree with TM016 sitting underneath it.

The second location is located in South Province (Area One). You’ll be heading to a cliff facing the ocean in the southeastern section of the area. Go to the location in the screenshot below, and you can find the TM sitting underneath a medium-sized tree.

Once you’ve found TM016 in the wild, you’ll gain the ability to craft it as many copies as you like at any TM Machine. You’ll need the following materials to craft it:

• 800 LP
• Psyduck Down x 3
