Since Final Fantasy 16 is not so big on cosmetics and character customization, I got my fix of in-game personalization by acquiring and using different pieces of gear, including various belts that you can find scattered all across Valisthea.

While they don’t really change what Clive looks like, belts can provide a powerful boost to our hero’s stats, and Mythril Belt is no different. Moreover, Mythril Belt is one of the most powerful belts in the game, and getting through the hassle of obtaining it is worth it—at least in my humble opinion. If you’re wondering how to get Mythril Belt in Final Fantasy 16, this is the guide for you!

To get Mythril Belt in Final Fantasy XVI, you will need to travel to Northwestern Dhalmekia, more specifically to The Velkroy Desert. If you focus on the main story, the campaign will take you to this vast, arid area during quest number 41 called Riddle of the Sands.

If you use the Obelisk to travel to The Velkroy Desert, you will have to explore Ceratina and the ruins northeast of the teleportation point. Mythril Belt is hidden away in a chest that is a little bit difficult to notice in all the beige of the crumbling walls and sand, but it is pretty much in the center of that area. You can also use the map above for more precise information. The chest is on the ground between something that looks like a fallen tent and a small roofed wooden stand.

Mythril Belt brings you +64 Defense and +20 HP, which makes it a great item to have—at least, before you get to the strongest belts and sashes later on.
