One of the foremost reasons for Minecraft’s insane success is its infinite replayability. As per the story, the game ends after defeating the mighty Ender Dragon. Still, there is a lot one can do in Minecraft. Players also have the option to add modifications to the game and enjoy new features. This guide will tell you about Minecraft mods for Xbox One.
Minecraft Xbox Mods Guide
On Xbox One, gamers can enjoy Bedrock Edition copy of Minecraft. Unfortunately, Bedrock Edition does not officially support mods. However, there are ways to install external third-party mods for Minecraft on Xbox One. But we do not recommend them as they are unreliable and can be dangerous for your console.
Instead of mods, players can install add-ons, the alternative to mods in Bedrock Edition. Add-ons are officially supported in Bedrock Edition and are entirely safe for use.
How to Get and Install Add-ons
Add-ons are a great way to make Minecraft more enjoyable and fun to play. Players can download add-ons using the Minecraft Marketplace. To access Minecraft Marketplace, launch Minecraft on your Xbox One and select Minecraft Marketplace on the home screen.
In Minecraft Marketplace, players can get add-ons featuring custom maps, skin packs, texture packs, and all sorts of other exciting features. Minecraft Marketplace features both free and paid add-ons for download. Players can purchase the paid add-ons using mine coins, the special currency of Minecraft Marketplace.
After downloading an add-on, players can enable it by following these steps:
- Go to Create new world
- Scroll down to “Add-Ons”
- In Resource Packs/Behavior Packs, go to My Packs, select the add-on you want, and activate it.
That’s it! Create a new world, and you are ready to enjoy your Minecraft Bedrock add-on. Since some add-ons may not work on old worlds, players are suggested to create a new world to play add-ons. While creating the world, make sure you have enabled the experimental gameplay features.
Add-ons are the only way to enjoy modded features in Minecraft on Xbox One, as Microsoft quickly removes any external modding application.
