A new remake of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl was released in November 2021, quickly becoming one of the most popular Nintendo Switch downloads. Compared to the original game, many new systems have been added. However, plenty of old features still remain, with one example being the GWS. In this guide, we will tell you all about it.
How to get into the GWS
The original version had a Global Trade Station to trade Pokémon. In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the name has been changed to Global Wonder Station, but you can still find the building in Jubilife City.
There is a girl next to the building who will not let you pass, saying that GWS is not ready yet. Even when you go through 5 gym rooms, you will still not be allowed to enter there.
Although there is no official information for what this building is, we assume that GWS will fulfill the same role as GTS.

What does the GWS/GTS do?
The original GTS allowed you to trade Pokémon. You left your Pokémon in GTS and asked for a specific Pokémon in return, and other trainers could decide whether or not they wanted to agree to a certain exchange. This trading system allowed players to obtain Pokémon they might not otherwise have had access to. Additionally, this feature brought together different trainers from all over the world.
In theory, GWS should work the same way, but it is possible that they will add some new features to transactions. Also, Nintendo has not revealed any information on when GWS will become active. Gamers say that it can happen sometime in early 2022, but currently, there is no word on whether or not this is true.
