Where to Find Heracross in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
The Bug/Fighting type Heracross is not an easy Pokemon to acquire in the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl games. Heracross are rare Pokemon that are only found by slathering Honey on Honey Trees.
And that’s not the end of it. The base encounter rate for Heracross is 1.5%. Which means that when you encounter a Pokemon on a Honey Tree that has been slathered in Honey, there is only a 1.5% chance of you encountering a Heracross.
Additionally, every Honey Tree needs you to wait at least 6 hours after slather Honey on it until you can encounter a Pokemon on it. Hence, there is a specific tactic we recommend you to employ:
- Have at least 21 quantities of Honey in your possession.
- Have the TM Fly in your possession.
- Fly between all the 21 Honey Trees throughout the region.
- Slather Honey on each of the Honey Trees you visit.
- Wait 6 hours.
- Visit each Honey Tree again to encounter all the Pokemon gathered at the Trees.
Encountering all 21 Pokemon in a row means that you have a 26% chance to come across at least 1 Heracross from the 21 encounters. If you aren’t lucky enough, you will have to repeat the process until you find a Heracross. May the RNG Gods be with you!
