Reigns is a strategy video game developed by Nerial and published by Devolver Digital. Set in a fictional medieval world, it places the player in the role of a monarch who rules the kingdom by accepting or rejecting suggestions from advisors.
Initially seeing success on the Windows platform, Reigns Mobile started to gain traction and has a lot of players still hooked to the Tinder-style decision-making for everyday affairs.
Today we will be discussing one of the quests in the game and how to get to it, the quest for the Frozen Blood.
Acquiring Frozen Blood
Bear in mind that a lot of decisions being displayed here will require some amount of favorable RNG. Also, be warned that this will be spoiler-heavy, so if you wish to not ruin your first-time experience, we recommend you look away.
For those that are still here, this is what should be done. There are two ways of acquiring the Frozen Blood in this game.
- Survive ten years with the ailments of Old Age
- Acquire it via Rex the Dog
The first method requires the player to meet the Witch. At a certain point, the Witch will curse the player with Old Age. These debuffs will negatively affect the player in a variety of ways.
Surviving ten years worth of these ailments will cause the Witch to undo the curse on the player. As a reward for surviving, the Witch will then offer a choice of two treasures:
- Crown of Pure Gold
- Cold Ruby
Choosing the Crown is a decent idea in itself, but if the player wants the Frozen Blood, then the Cold Ruby is the way to go. That is the guaranteed way to acquire it.
The random RNG chances occur with the other method. Sometimes Rex will randomly bring it to the player if they’re lucky enough. This method is not very reliable, and should the player get it beforehand, then choosing the Crown from the Witch would be a better option in order to acquire both!
