In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players can obtain Technical Machines (TM), a type of data disc that help Pokemon learn new moves. TMs are a quick and easy way to learn a new move without too much grinding or waiting. Fling is one of these useful Technical Machines. Obtaining Fling TM 043 in Scarlet and Violet

TM043 teaches a Pokemon the move Fling. Fling is an Dark type move with altering power level and perfect accuracy. The power level and effects is dependant on the Held Item being used at the time, it also causes the user to lose the Held Item.

Fling can be found in two areas: by a flower sculpture inside Artazon, and hidden in tall grass behind a tree near Artazon. Fling can then be crafted using the following: 3000 LP, Sneasel Claw x3, and Happiny Dust x3.

The move is super effective (x2) on Psychic, and Ghost type Pokemon. It has an average effect (x0.5) on Fighting, Dark, and Fairy type Pokemon. Annihilape, Primeape, and Teddiursa can learn this move by default. Other eligible Pokemon have to level up or learn via TM.
